| A tale of Heftymetals. |

Last night we gamed some 4ed D&D and it was pretty fun.
Their second formal mission as Gold Mountain inc., Boron Heftymetal son of Bombo Heftymetal and Faulk Heftymetal son of Dongal Heftymetal set out after their uncle Faldo alerted the dwarves to a menace deep in the foundries of Glitterbeard. The cousins were elated, and with some discussion decided to enlist the assistance of their retard cousin Grum. However, before setting off, the two sought out a local tavern searching for other hired blades willing to tackle the menace. Hopefully, they could find at least one before they relented to taking Grum. Yet, they found no one willing to lend their expertise to assist Gold Mountain inc. And, only received ridicule from a table of Glinted Axes, another company lead by Frido Glintedaxe. Boron succumbed to the taunting of the Glintedaxes and threw a tankard of White Stone ale in Frido's face. Inevitably, a fight broke out between the two Heftymetals and the Glintedaxes, fists flew as the dwarves engaged in an all out brawl. Boron sought Frido, attacking him directly while Faulk contended with the others. Paying heavily for his brash assault, Boron took blow after blow from the enraged Frido; a dwarf stronger and more experienced than the two young Heftymetals. Faulk exchanged blows with the rest of the Glintedaxes, paying for each strike with equal force and eventually conquering his opponents. Boron had lost ground against the powerful Frido, only barely managing to keep him and the rest of the Glintedaxe minions at bay. Faulk lept to the aid of his cousin, quickly neutralizing Frido's companions while Boron gathered his breath and employed a bar stool to aid his fight. Frido was then overwhelmed by the cousins, Faulk relentlessly jabbed at his enemy and Boron (after breaking the chair) used the table itself to subdue their beserking foe. Shortly after, Frido was subdued and before leaving the tavern (which had erupted now into a full blown bar fight) Boron stripped Frido's un-concious body of his Glintedaxe sigil patch.
After returning to Heftymetal hall and obtaining some much needed rest, the two collected Grum (forced to accept their cousin due to any other candidate else being beaten silly) and set out to the foundries of Glitterbeard. Shortly after reaching their destination they encountered an infestation of rats ranging in size from normal to dangerously large. They swiftly dealt with the vermin and discovered a dwarven were-rat they deduced was cause of their pest problem. The were-rat faced the two cousins in a circle of insidious magic and with the assistance of a few dire rats. The fight was brutal but the foes were over thrown and the heroes continued their search of the foundry encountering another batch of rats but defeating the creatures nonetheless. They returned to town after their victory, exchanging loot for treasure and seeking a sit down with Frido Glitterbeard which ended with little progress made. Their third cousin Lumberg Hefty also approached them, seeking to gain membership with Goldmountain inc. |
